CAMPT-Certified physiotherapists are Fellows of the Canadian Academy of Manipulative Physiotherapy (FCAMPT) that have completed extensive post-graduate education and have attained internationally recognized qualifications in hands-on manipulative therapy. We provide focused treatment based on research-guided techniques that speed up patient recovery while educating them about their condition to reduce the risk of relapse. We offer advanced clinical expertise and specialized training in hands-on treatments, to help you:

  • GET BETTER using techniques that meet international standards.
  • RECOVER FASTER since we find and target the root cause.
  • STAY HEALTHIER by educating you about your condition to reduce relapse.

The Canadian Physiotherapy Association (CPA) represents over 14,000 physiotherapists, physiotherapist assistants and physiotherapist students across Canada. CPA members are rehabilitation professionals dedicated to the health, mobility and fitness of Canadians. In partnership with provincial and territorial branches and practice divisions, CPA enables members to learn, share knowledge and enhance practice. CPA provides resources, education, ideas and advocacy to enable our professional community to better serve Canadians.

When you see a physiotherapist/physical therapist, you can expect to receive safe, quality care from a qualified health professional who is registered with the College of Physiotherapists of Ontario.

Every physiotherapist in the province must meet the College of Physiotherapists of Ontario's standards for entry into the profession and standards for professional conduct and practice. The College sets rules and develops programs to ensure that members of the physiotherapy profession practise in your best interests.

Many health professionals provide services similar to those offered by physiotherapists, but only individuals who are registered with the College of Physiotherapists of Ontario may use the title "physiotherapist" or "physical therapist". Physiotherapists are accountable to the College for the quality of care they provide their patients and their professional conduct.

The College of Massage Therapists of Ontario (referred to as the College, or CMTO) is the regulator established by the provincial government to regulate the practice of Massage Therapy and to govern the conduct of Registered Massage Therapists (RMTs) in the province of Ontario through the provisions of the Regulated Health Professions Act, 1991 (RHPA) and the Massage Therapy Act, 1991.

Not to be confused with a school that teaches Massage Therapy, or the membership-based professional association (the Registered Massage Therapists' Association of Ontario), CMTO is one of 26 regulatory Colleges that oversee their respective health professions in this province, as set out in the RHPA.

CMTO is dedicated to excellence in protecting the public's interest, guiding its registrants and promoting the highest possible quality of the practice of Massage Therapy.

The College of Kinesiologists of Ontario is the body that regulates kinesiologists in Ontario. The College receives its authority from the Kinesiology Act, 2007 and the Regulated Health Professions Act, 1991. It is not a school, and it exists to protect the public.

The College is governed by a Council, similar to a board of directors. Council is made up of kinesiologists elected by their peers, and members of the public appointed by the Ontario government. Council sets the College's strategic direction and develops policies and standards to ensure the College is meeting its mandate to protect the public.

Counselling Services:

Transformation Counselling

The therapists at Transformation Counselling pride themselves on being experienced, highly trained, and down-to-earth. Rather than just asking "How does that make you feel," they use methods that have been proven by research to be effective at transforming your problems at their roots. With extensive training in CBT, DBT, EMDR, mindfulness-based therapy, couple and family therapy, and children's counselling, their therapists offer highly effective treatment for PTSD, depression, anxiety, relationship issues, and much more. They also offer coaching services for those looking to get more out of life.

Animal Rehabilitation:

Canine rehabilitation is physiotherapy services for your dog, offered to you by an animal rehab-trained, registered physiotherapist. At CanineTech Rehab our services are provided by a registered physiotherapist with over 10 years of experience as a physiotherapist for humans. Dogs suffer from similar injuries as their owners and are thus being offered expert treatment for conditions causing pain and dysfunction.

Our approach to canine rehab follows the same principles as human physiotherapy. The assessment of your dog will focus on identifying the underlying cause and contributing factors to their injury or condition. This approach will enable us to treat your dog in the most effective way. Appropriate exercises, manual therapy and modalities will be combined to improve the course of their recovery.
