BodyTech Physiotherapy was created out of a desire to improve the quality of physiotherapy care in the city of Kitchener. By providing high quality, advanced manual therapy treatment to our clients, we are dedicated to offering the most up to date evidence based treatment.

We believe in educating our clients to complement their understanding and therefore response to treatment and aid in injury prevention. Our approach is based on active participation, therefore exercise will be an important part of all treatments. BodyTech Physiotherapy is owned and operated by Fellows of the Canadian Academy of Manipulative Physiotherapy (CAMPT) an organization of the International Federation of Manipulative Physical Therapists dedicated to providing the highest level of quality care. All of our physiotherapists have completed or are working towards completing their Advanced Diploma in Manual and Manipulative Therapy. This advanced training enhances assessment and treatment skills, and allows our physiotherapists to treat any orthopaedic or musculoskeletal injury for people of all ages.

Cheryl Reid Ralph

Cheryl, originally resided in Newfoundland, graduated from Acadia University in Wolfville, Nova Scotia where she completed her Bachelor of Science in Biology (2001). After graduating from Acadia University, Cheryl went on to obtain her Bachelor of Science in Physiotherapy from Dalhousie University in Halifax, Nova Scotia in 2004. She received her Diploma of Advanced Manual and Manipulative Physiotherapy from the Canadian Physiotherapy Association, Orthopedic Division in 2012 and became a Fellow of the Canadian Academy of Manipulative Therapy (FCAMPT). In 2015, Cheryl obtained her Diploma in Canine Rehabilitation from the Canadian Physiotherapy Association Animal Rehab division.

Cheryl initially worked in Chester, Nova Scotia for 5 ½ years at a private practice clinic. After moving to Ontario in 2009, she continued to work at a private practice in Guelph. With years of experience as orthopaedic physiotherapist, Cheryl felt she was ready to further develop her passion for orthopaedics and manual therapy. With the help and support of family, friends and clients she decided it was time to open her own physiotherapy clinic to pursue her own professional goals.

Since graduating, Cheryl has continued to complete courses to further her orthopaedic and manual therapy skills. She has completed level 1 acupuncture, neuro-proprioceptive taping, a Shirley Sahrmann course on diagnosis and treatment of movement dysfunction and a Paul Hodges course focusing on core stability. Cheryl has also completed a course on gait analysis to help with improving assessment of running injuries.

As a manual physiotherapist, Cheryl is trained to treat all musculoskeletal conditions of the body and is very passionate about her profession. In her free time Cheryl enjoys running, playing with her dog and exploring the many trails of the Grand River Region.

Vanessa Rampersad

Vanessa graduated from the University of Waterloo where she completed her Honours Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology. After graduating from the University of Waterloo, Vanessa went on to obtain her Master of Science in Physical Therapy at the University of Toronto in 2007. She received her Diploma of Advanced Manual and Manipulative Physiotherapy from the Canadian Physiotherapy Association, Orthopedic Division in 2012 and became a Fellow of the Canadian Academy of Manipulative Therapy (FCAMPT). Additionally, Vanessa has a strong interest in exercise science and is a member of the Canadian Society for Exercise Physiology as a Clinical Exercise Physiologist with a High Performance Specialization to work with high performing athletes. Vanessa has further enhanced her skills by completing her a certification with the Acupuncture Foundation of Canada Institute. Vanessa has completed her training in Pelvic Health as well.

To further her education and skills, Vanessa has continued to complete courses on a regular basis and regularly mentors physiotherapy students and physiotherapists. She has completed courses on athletic rehabilitation and neuro-proprioceptive taping, mobilization of the nervous system, core stability, and myofascial mobilization. She has assisted and taught courses in the diagnosis, treatment and prevention of shoulder injuries. Vanessa also provides physiotherapy for post breast cancer patients. Prior to becoming a Physiotherapist, Vanessa worked as a personal trainer and loves working with athletes. Furthermore, Vanessa is a member of Sports Physiotherapy Canada and has provided sport coverage for multiple sports including figure skating with Skate Canada, soccer, and ultimate frisbee at various levels of competition.

As an advanced manual physiotherapist, Vanessa is trained to treat all musculoskeletal conditions with any age group and continues to pursue her passion for being a physiotherapist. In her free time, Vanessa enjoys participating in recreational activities including ultimate frisbee, skiing and hiking.

Courtney White

Courtney grew up in Sault Ste. Marie in Northern Ontario. She graduated from the University of Guelph where she received her Honours Bachelor of Science in Human Kinetics in 2017. She then went on to complete her Masters of Science in Physiotherapy at McMaster University in 2019. Since graduating, Courtney's work and educational experience has continued to grow. She has completed Level 2 Lower of manual therapy training through the Canadian Physiotherapy Association and Acupuncture training through Acupuncture Canada. Courtney plans to pursue further training in manual therapy and women's health. She has a keen interest in working with female athletes and women pre and post pregnancy to help them return to sport/work. She is currently taking further education in this area to be able to better serve this population. Courtney's treatment philosophy includes the use of an evidence-based, patient-centered treatment approach which involves individualized exercise and manual therapy to help each patient achieve their personal goals.

Courtney has recently gotten a new Chocolate Labrador puppy named Echo who has been an absolute joy, other than when she is finding every shoe and sock in the house to play with! When not at work, Courtney enjoys going downhill skiing and playing basketball and volleyball. She also likes to spend time with her family and friends.

Aden Green

Aden Green

Aden completed her Masters of Physical Therapy degree from the University of Toronto and holds an Honours Bachelor of Science degree in Bio-Medical Science from the University of Guelph. Aden has always had an interest in anatomy and realized that physiotherapy was the path she wanted to take as it allowed her to combine her interests while also directly helping others.

Aden incorporates both a hands on and active approach to treatment with manual therapy and individualized exercise prescription. Aden's goal is to empower her clients along the way through ongoing education to equip them with the right tools so that they can take control of their rehab and continue to confidently self-manage their injury.

Aden currently has completed Level 1 of the manual therapy level courses and plans to continue to advance through the level system. She has also completed an introductory course in dry needling and acupuncture.

Aden is eager to listen to your story and learn why you seek physiotherapy to help get you moving and feeling better so that you can return to the activities that are important to you!

In her spare time Aden enjoys playing hockey, skiing and going backcountry camping.

Jonathan Bourgeois

Jonathan completed his Masters of Physical Therapy degree from the University of Ottawa with the highest overall academic and clinical performance and holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Kinesiology with distinction from the Université de Moncton. Jonathan has always had an interest in the human movement as well as the connection between the physical and mental health which led him to pursue physiotherapy as a means of combining both passions with a career that would allow him to be of service to others.

Jonathan engages the patient during the entirety of the rehabilitation process from collaborating to establish goals that are meaningful to the patient, to the development of a unique exercise program to empower the patient to guide the therapy based on their unique needs, goals and values.

Jonathan has a special interest in running as well as rock climbing and strength training. He has completed a course as well as a research project on running biomechanics. He sharpened his knowledge with a course on hip osteoarthritis and completed the level 1, level 2 lower extremity and the level 2 upper extremity advanced manual therapy courses.

Jonathan is looking forward to working as a team to improve the way you move and enable you to return to an active life.

In his spare time Jonathan enjoys running, rock climbing, hiking mountains and strength training.

Moni Khushal Dhamat

Moni graduated with a Bachelor of Physiotherapy in 2014. After moving to Canada in 2020, Moni continued to gain experience by working as a Physiotherapy Assistant, then a Resident PT and now as a Registered Physiotherapist.

Moni treats a wide variety of conditions and all ages including working with WSIB and MVA cases. She loves helping people with musculoskeletal and sports injuries. She plans to pursue further education and expand her knowledge and skills with more courses.

She believes that physiotherapy is not just a clinic session but a lifestyle. Moni looks forward to helping you not only to get rid of pain but also make your day-to-day life better by teaching you postural breaks in form of exercises as per your daily routine. Moni treats by combining 'hands- on' physiotherapy with education and exercises designed specifically for you. Her overall physio session is designed to promote your activities of interests be it work, keeping up with sports, gardening or day to day life.

Moni's attention to detail in her assessments help her to properly identify the underlying root cause of your issue. This comprehensive approach allows her to be able to educate and treat you as an individual to achieve your goals. Regular reassessments are an integral part of her approach to ensure you are progressing in your rehab journey.

Apart from physiotherapy, Moni is also passionate about arts and crafts. In her free time she enjoys listening to podcasts, reading spiritual books and spending time with family.

Rutali Prabhu

Rutali completed her Bachelor of Physiotherapy degree from Maharashtra University of Health Sciences, India in 2016. She has been in the field for about 4 years practicing in Canada in various musculoskeletal settings. Initially, she worked at CBI Health Group as a Resident and mastered working with complex cases during the pandemic under the guidance of senior Physiotherapists and Chiropractors. She gained expertise in treating acute surgical conditions, injuries after motor vehicle accidents and workplace injuries. She has completed courses such as Acupuncture and Dry needling including electrical Intra-muscular stimulation, Concussion and Vestibular Rehabilitation, Kinesiology and Taping, Myofascial release techniques, Active release techniques, and chronic pain management.

In the past year, Rutali developed an interest in working with sports population after realizing the prevalence of chronic pain, sports concussions and other musculoskeletal injuries. She decided to put use to her manual skills such as Active release and Acupuncture and saw great results treating athletes and a lot of active population at Athletes Care Sports Medicine Centres where she worked along side fellow Physiotherapists with diverse skills and shadowed Sports Medicine Specialist Physicians for complex sports injuries. Her skill set has been beneficial for her to have a holistic approach to help her patients reach their goals successfully.

At Body Tech Physiotherapy, Rutali specializes in providing treatments for sprains, strains, concussions, whiplash injuries, vestibular disorders like vertigo, post-fracture rehabilitation, post-surgical rehabilitation, degenerative arthritis, neurological conditions and return to sports-related treatments for all populations including children, adults as well as seniors. She customizes her treatment approaches as per the needs of each individual which include educating the patients about their injury and recovery, hands-on manual therapy care, structured exercise programs, pain relief modalities to help improve patient function, dry needling and taping techniques.

Rutali is strongly driven to positively impact lives and believes in enhancing her knowledge by keeping herself up-to-date with newest evidence-based approaches in practice and learning through continuing education courses. Rutali plans to pursue the manual therapy level courses towards obtaining her Diploma of Advanced Manual and Manipulative therapy to develop her knowledge and expertise to enhance her practice and patient care.

In her free time, Rutali enjoys dancing, travelling and hiking, camping and kayaking. She loves socializing with friends and family and going out to events in the city.

Nik grew up in Kitchener Ontario before moving to and graduating in 2018 from Westervelt College in London. He later then moved back to Kitchener to practice in his home city. Nik utilizes swedish and therapeutic massage techniques which allows him to effectively treat a wide variety of conditions and individuals. Nik has clinically focused on trigger point therapy, TMJ dysfunction, concussion management, sports injury, and motor vehicle accidents.

Nik has spent his professional career in multidisciplinary clinics alongside physiotherapists, and other health professionals. Working with a wide variety of health care professionals has allowed for a complete and patient tailored treatment plan for each case. Nik enjoys the challenge that each new case brings, improving his practice with each patient treated.

In his spare time, Nik enjoys motorsports, bowling, hiking, and strength training. If he is not participating in physical activities, he can be found in the kitchen cooking delicious and satisfying dishes from a wide variety of different cuisines.

Nicole Versteeg

Nicole Versteeg grew up in Waterloo and is now a resident in the quiet town of Maryhill. Nicole graduated from Darcy Lane Institute in 2005 and has been a Registered Massage Therapist for 8 years. In addition, she has a Bachelor of Arts degree from Wilfred Laurier University in Kinesiology. Nicole took some time away from her profession to pursue a career in bookkeeping and accounting and has recently returned to the field of massage therapy.

Nicole has worked in a wide range of settings from clinical to spa. She has also worked with a variety of clients who have experienced repetitive strain injuries, tension headaches, motor vehicle injuries such as whiplash and low back injuries, women who are pregnant and infant massage.

Prior to joining Body Tech Physiotherapy, Nicole spent 8 years working alongside chiropractors, physiotherapists and kinesiologists. Nicole's goal is to help her clients improve their overall health and wellbeing. She enjoys her profession and offers deep tissue to relaxation massage.

To compliment massage therapy, Nicole is also pursuing a career as a personal trainer and hopes to work with clients to improve their overall health and wellness.

In her spare time, she enjoys spending time with her family, working out, running, hiking, boating, skiing and playing a variety of sports.

Jessica joined the BodyTech team in March 2018. She has a background in personal training in addition to a wealth of customer service experience in the health and fitness industry. Her education in Human Resource and Management Studies lends well to our administrative team. Jessica enjoys spending her free time training hard at the gym, running and soaking up the outdoors.

Lori is a recent graduate from the Medical Office Practice Program at Conestoga College. She has many years' experience in reception and other various office roles. She enjoys art, reading, and spending time with family. She recently took up jogging and is trying to maintain a healthy active lifestyle in hopes of being a good role model for her family.
